Compact RTD Temperature Sensors

Omega Engineering, Inc.’s new RTDM12 series of compact resistance temperature detector (RTD) sensors are extremely rugged with a molded (IP67) four-pin connector with M12 male thread and a fast response time. Suitable for the automotive, chemical, and water industries, this RTD plug is designed for pressure vessel applications, pressurized containers, and applications requiring a temperature sensor with a National Pipe Thread (NPT) mounting fit. The single element design has a 1/8-in diameter, 316 stainless steel probe that extends 13 mm (0.51 in) or 24 mm (0.94 in) from a 1/8 NPT mounting thread. According to the company, the M12 connector assures a very reliable connection. With extension cables offered in different lengths with right or straight angles, the series also features a temperature range of -50 to 120°C (-58 to 248°F).
