Shield Terminators

SolderSleeve shield-grounding terminators from TE Connectivity provide an environmentally sealed, insulated, encapsulated solder connection. The QPL-listed S01 and S02 terminators are rated to 150°C (302°F) and were designed to attach a ground lead to a cable shield to bring electrical disturbances to the ground through a sealed, encapsulated connection. The easy-to-install shield terminators provide improved environmental resistance, long-term performance, and reliability as well as a lower installed cost for splicing and terminating vs. solder and heat shrink technology, according to the company. A prefluxed solder preform provides a controlled and repeatable soldering process, while transparent tubing allows for efficient visual inspection. SolderSleeve shield terminators also are lightweight and small in size and are suitable for military aerospace, commercial aerospace, and military ground-systems applications.
