KOA Speer Electronics expands the power shunt resistor line to include the 5-W PSI and 3-W PSE series for higher current applications and large current detecting with a smooth flow. Resistors feature a flat rectangular structure for mounting and for greater stability under load as well as temperature coefficient of resistance values of ±50 and ±150 ppm/°C for operation over a range of -65 to +155°C (-85 to +311°F). PSI and PSE resistors perform with a resistance range from 0.5 to 4 mΩ and tolerances of ±1 and ±5% and are AEC-Q200 qualified. Suitable applications include electronic controls, electric and hybrid electric vehicle battery management, dc/dc converters, oil and gas down hole, inverter controls, electronic power steering, electric brakes, and water/oil pumps.
