Molded Current Sense Resistors

The new SLN5 molded current sense resistor line from KOA Speer Electronics (Bradford, PA) features a 7-watt power rating in 4527 size. Used primarily for current detection, the SLN5 resistor is suitable for transportation, industrial, telecommunications and consumer electronics markets in applications such as personal computing devices, dc to dc conversion, automotive modules, motor control and power supplies. The AEC-Q200 qualified SLN5 is a molded resin resistor that provides dimension accuracy, mountability and shock resistance. It also offers a terminal port temperature of 70°C (158°F). Due to its metal plate terminal electrode, the series also features terminal strength, heat shock resistance and solderability. The SLN5 resistor has low temperature coefficient of resistance available down to ±75 ppm with resistance tolerance as low as 0.5% and resistance values of 5 to 200 mΩ. The SLN5 also has an operating temperature of -65 to +180°C (-85 to +356°F). For more information, visit http://www.koaspeer.com/ .
