The new high-performance smart brushless DC (BLDC) actuators from Sonceboz were specifically developed to reduce emissions in harsh environments, including for exhaust flaps, turbochargers, EGR (exhaust gas recirculation), and throttle valves. They deliver high peak torque values, from 2 to 20 N·m (1.5 to 15 lb·ft), while also maintaining compactness. With integrated position sensors and electronic drives, they act as modular stand-alone actuators. High reliability and service life are guaranteed over an operating temperature range up to 160°C (320°F). With adapted connectors or mechanical interfaces, the Sonceboz smart BLDC actuators can fit any exhaust, forced air induction, intake, or energy recovery application; and contribute to Tier 4f or Euro 6 compliancy.
