Position Sensor

Rota Engineering’s position sensors for hydraulic cylinders have been designed for robust environments where a small footprint is required to maintain the critical pin-to-pin dimensions of existing cylinders. The sensors are suitable for mobile cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, and various loaders where understanding the cylinder position improves safety and efficiency. Rota transducers are designed for harsh applications that require a robust solution in the tunneling, mining, construction, and agricultural industries. Sensors can be configured up to 130 ft (40 m) in length and for use up to 20,000 ft (6100 m) below the surface of the ocean in hazardous environments subject to both physical abuse and exposure to dust and salt water. Voltage, current, PWM, and CanBus/CanOpen output options are available.
