Hard Chrome Process
The ANKOR Hydraulics hard chrome process from Enthone delivers corrosion resistance while offering a more sustainable alternative to other high-efficiency, etch-free hard chrome processes for hydraulics/fluid power applications. The process, which imparts pore-free chrome deposits on steel, eliminates failures related to microporosity and nodules to ensure high levels of performance at a lower cost of ownership. It increases productivity by up to 25% compared to competitive processes due to its exceptional metal distribution. In addition to steel, the process offers rapid deposition of hard chromium on stainless steel, induction hardened steel, chrome-on-chrome, and nickel underlayers. It includes a foamless, PFOS-free mist suppressant as an integral part of the hard chrome technology.
