Personnel Moves at Denso
Among several recent personnel moves by Denso International America Inc. are added responsibilities for Roger Berg and the hiring of Dr. Gary Horvat. Berg, an active member of SAE International and inventor or co-inventor on eight U.S. and international patents, has assumed additional responsibility as Vice President of North American Research and Development at Denso's Silicon Valley office. Complementing work being done at its North America Research and Development center in Vista, CA, he will now also lead the development of new product ideas for non-automotive, aftermarket, light-vehicle and heavy-duty sectors. Previously, Berg served as Vice President of Wireless Technologies. Berg’s teams are currently working mainly on software research and development for connected- and automated-vehicle technology at Denso’s two laboratories in Vista and San Jose, CA. He also coordinates closely with Denso’s research and product groups in Japan, Germany, and China. Horvat previously was Vice President of Product Development at Fisker Automotive in Anaheim, CA. The SAE member has several degrees from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, including a doctor of engineering in industrial engineering.
