Current Transducers

American Aerospace Controls (AAC) offers a line of reliable ac and dc standard and custom electrical transducers for rail, heavy locomotive, high-speed train, and light rapid transit monitoring. For locomotive and rail traction motor power systems management, the transducers monitor the electric current and ground fault voltages used by traction motors while detecting potential system power loss areas. With mandatory train event recorders, transducers monitor the dc current feed to a high-speed locomotive’s black box to ensure the uninterrupted recording of onboard systems data for safety. In rolling stock car electronic equipment monitoring, transducers provide effective electromagnetic interface protection of equipment, preventing premature electronics failure. Products also are used to monitor the ac current levels of regenerative rail braking systems under development.
