Mathematical Software
Numerical Algorithms Group (Lisle, IL) has introduced the NAG Toolbox for MATLAB ®, which gives users access to more than 1,300 additional math and statistical algorithms within the MATLAB environment through the NAG Library. Numerical capabilities include linear, quadratic, integer, and non-linear programming and least squares problems; ordinary and partial differential equations and mesh generation; numerical integration and integral equations; roots of non-linear equations, including polynomials; and curve and surface fitting and interpolation. Statistical capabilities include random number generation, simple calculations on statistical data, correlation and regression analysis, multivariate methods, analysis of variance and contingency table analysis, time series analysis, and non-parametric statistics.
