Ruggedized Keyboard
The SL-86-911 rugged keyboard from IKEY IndustrialPeripherals, Austin, TX, can be integrated into tactical maintenance and diagnostic military products, and into control panels of submarines, tanks, vehicles, and jets.The unit combines both a rugged keyboard and a rugged computer pointing device into a single package,and is completely sealed to meet NEMA4X specifications against extreme temperatures,weather, and abuse.
The keyboard features a mounting holepattern for installation into mobile computing applications. Backlighting is available with green or red LEDs, and five levels of illumination for low-light environments. An emergency key sends a signal of Shift+F1 and lights up for 30 seconds when pressed. The keyboard is available with a single USB cable, and is PS/2 and AT compatible.
It measures 11.25 x 6.25 x 1.7" and features an ABS polycarbonate case and a HulaPoint pointing device. It offers 86-key functionality with 12 function keys, and a temperature operating range of -40 to 194°F.
