Kontron (San Diego, CA) announced the release of the Kontron VX307C, a rugged 3U VPX computing module based on the Intel® Xeon® D-1700/1800 platform, purpose-designed for I/O-intensive mission critical workloads. Featuring PCIe Gen4 and 100Gb Ethernet, the Kontron VX307C embedded server node combines server-class computing capability to enable realtime data fusion, secure communications and mission-critical responsiveness. Specialized instructions for AI, signal processing and crypto algorithms enable computer vision, media processing and crypto applications to achieve twice the performance of the previous generation of micro server SOCs.

Rugged XMC GPGPU Card

Concurrent (Essex, UK) has launched Narvi, a rugged XMC form factor GPGPU and graphics processing card developed in collaboration with EIZO Rugged Solutions. Powered by NVIDIA RTX™ PRO 2000 and 500 Blackwell GPUs, Narvi delivers AI acceleration, real-time video capture, and advanced display processing in a compact, low-SWaP module designed for today’s most demanding defense and aerospace applications. The XMC cards can also serve as AI/ML/GPGPU co-processors for single-board computers that lack such functionality, dramatically boosting their processing performance without requiring redesign.

VNX+ Test Platform

Elma Electronic (Fremont, CA) now offers the industry’s first development chassis for VNX+ (VITA 90) modules. The new 3-slot FlexVNX+ enables rapid board bring-up, validation, and testing of VNX+ plugin cards (PICs), allowing system engineers to quickly and effectively evaluate and integrate VNX+ payload modules. With a 3-slot backplane (2+1), the FlexVNX+ supports two payload slots (400-pin and 320-pin) and features a dedicated PSU slot as well as an internal power supply, enabling full system development. The SOSA aligned platform also ensures ecosystem interoperability and future system upgrade paths.

3U OpenVPX Mini ATRs

Pixus Technologies (Ontario, Canada) has announced a new 3U OpenVPX ATR enclosures that accept 3U OpenVPX and SOSA aligned boards. The modular designs come in various I/O and backplane options. The first in the series of Pixus Mini ATRs features two 3U OpenVPX slots and one VITA 62 PSU slot. Backplanes are available in speeds up to 100GbE speeds and various configurations. The I/O board is also fully customizable. Compact and lightweight, the chassis comes in versions for baseplate cooling or with an optional rear fan.
