Military-Grade Cable Markers
New printable CM-NMX military-grade cable markers for identification of large wire bundles, cables, pipes, and conduits have been launched by Tyco Electronics (Harrisburg, PA). The markers are well-suited for the industrial, energy, and aerospace and defense industries as they are constructed using a highly-durable and flame-resistant meta-aramid material that withstands exposure to harsh environments.
CM-NMX markers have excellent solvent-resistant characteristics and meet MIL-STD-202, Method 215K for fluid resistance. The cable markers are extremely lightweight, which may result in fuel cost savings for the aerospace industry. The markers, available in a variety of colors and sizes for military and high-temperature applications, are applied using cable ties. The cable markers are compatible with the latest, economical thermal-transfer printable technology for faster printing and sharper print resolutions. The product line meets the SAE AS5942 print permanence standard.
