2026 Escalade IQL Is Cadillac’s Biggest, Roomiest EV Yet
With a 205-kWh battery, the big rig has an estimated range of 460 miles (724 km).
Cadillac today unveiled the 2026 Escalade IQL electric vehicle, which maintains the Escalade IQ’s class-leading range but adds additional passenger and cargo space.
The company said in a news release that space has improved for all three seating rows and the cargo space behind the third row. That space is created by stretching the Escalade IQL by more than four inches until its current length is 228.5 inches (5,803 mm). And the large e-truck under the hood allows an additional 12.2 cu. ft. of storage.
Cadillac Global vice president John Roth said that with the larger model, the company “now offers a full lineup of internal combustion and all-electric Escalade options.”
The biggest bumps in passenger space come in the front row, which sees an increase of more than an inch to 45.2 inches (1148 mm), and the third row, which, at 36.7 inches (933 mm), is 4.5 inches more than the IQ.
With the third seat in use, the cargo area offers 24.2 cu. ft. of space. It also jumps to 75.4 with the third row folded and a massive 125.2 with the second row folded. Those last two capacities are increases of 9% and 5%, respectively.
The IQL’s nearly GMC Hummer EV-sized battery has a capacity of 205 kWh, a slight bump of 5 kWh. Cadillac is estimating 460 miles of range, about the same range as the shorter IQ. The company said that on a 240-volt Level 2 charger, the IQL will gain about 36 miles (58 km) of range for every charging hour. At a DC fast-charging public station, it can gain up to 116 miles (187 km) of range in 10 minutes.
The dual motors combine for 680 hp (505 kW) and 615 lb-ft (834 Nm) in normal mode and 750 hp (560 kW) and 785 lb-ft (1,064 Nm) in what Cadillac calls Velocity Max mode.
The IQL is jammed with the latest luxury display, audio and other technology. “With a commanding profile offering additional cargo capacity, the Escalade IQL is brimming with luxury features found on the Escalade IQ,” said Craig Sass, Cadillac’s interior design manager.
