Outdoor Housing for Dome Cameras

Dotworkz, San Diego, CA, has launched the D2™ environmental housing that provides protection to PTZ dome cameras from the rigors of outdoor use and physical damage. The D2 is compatible with 99% of analog and IP PTZ cameras, including models from Axis, Sony, Toshiba, and Canon. It is water-tight and air-tight, assuring that cameras are kept within proper operating temperatures. The housing is equipped with a heater/blower suitable for use in temperatures ranging from 30°F to 95°F. The D2 is also offered with either the Dotworkz Ring of Fire™ cold climate system for areas that reach below -20°F and where ice/snow commonly collects, or with the Dotworkz Cooldome™ thermo-electric cooling system that protects the camera system in temperatures up to 145°F.

The D2 measures 14.9" × 11.7" × 13.2" and has room to accommodate components such as routers, cell networks, hard drives, UPS, WiMAX, and Mesh hardware. The thermoplastic fiber construction will not rust or corrode due to water, ice, salt, or heat, while the .125" optical cell cast acrylic lower lens resists impact. It features an on-board component mounting space. Also included is the Dotworkz Rapid Link™ which allows integration into 2.4 GHz wireless networks worldwide with a range of up to 3 miles.
