IAC Opens New Tech Center in Shanghai
A technical center is part of International Automotive Components' recently opened Shanghai facility that also houses its new Asia headquarters offices. The 30,000-ft² (2800-m²) facility hosts many of IAC's Asian operations including the region's commercial and administrative activities along with global and domestic design/engineering, procurement, and manufacturing leadership. Currently home to about 115 skilled professionals in engineering, administrative and sales roles, the facility eventually will house 150 in support of incremental business growth. When IAC was established in 2006, the company had two plants and one tech center supporting the Asia market. Today, the U.S. company has 20 plants and six tech centers in Asia. The Shanghai headquarters/tech center is IAC's twelfth facility in China.
