BlackBird to Purchase 110 All-Electric Bye Aerospace EFlyer Aircraft
San Francisco-based BlackBird Air Inc. , the United States’ largest aviation marketplace, has committed to buying 100 four-seat eFlyer 4 and 10 two-seat eFlyer 2 aircraft from Denver-based electric aircraft developer, Bye Aerospace . The partnership marks a major milestone for both companies – the purchase will dramatically increase BlackBird’s air transportation network while solidifying Bye Aerospace as a manufacturer of the world’s first all-electric aircraft that meets United States Federal Aviation Administration Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 23 airworthiness standards for normal, utility, acrobatic, and commuter aircraft.
BlackBird will incorporate the eFlyer fleet into its operations at local airports. The company’s marketplace currently provides the freedom to travel between 50 miles and 300 miles for much less time and money than driving, with plans to expand further.
