Eaton Names New VP of Technology for Vehicle Group
Eaton has named Gerard DeVito (SAE member, 1988) Vice President, Technology, Vehicle Group, effective Nov. 1, 2015. The 27-year Eaton veteran will be based in Galesburg, MI, and will report directly to Ken Davis, President, Eaton Vehicle Group, and functionally to Jeff Lowinger, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Industrial Sector. In his new role, DeVito will be responsible for leading and directing all engineering activities for the Vehicle Group to ensure that financial, growth, productivity, and technology objectives are met. He most recently served as Director, Next Generation Transmissions, North America Truck. Prior to that, he was Director, Engineering, for the Hybrid business. He began his career with Eaton in engineering before moving into market development and regional sales positions. DeVito holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Western Michigan University.
