Kia Announces New Interior Features for 3rd-Gen Sorento
Kia has released details of the new improvements made to the third-generation Sorento’s cabin. A new modern, wrap-around dashboard has been added, as well as soft-touch materials and a range of advanced, onboard technologies, according to the company. Kia’s design team in Frankfut, Germany, led the efforts to improve interior styling, including the contoured cabin, which features more soft-touch materials and leather and stitching. The new vehicle also features Kia’s latest human-machine interface (HMI). A large infotainment screen features prominently in the center of the dashboard. The dashboard is also designed with long, flowing shapes to envelope the driver and front passenger while emphasizing the width and space of the larger cabin. The new Sorento, which will be showcased in late August in Korea, will debut in Europe this fall at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
