Vehicle Dependability Takes Hit
In a recent report, owners of MY2011 vehicles reported a higher rate of problems than did owners of MY2010 vehicles in a similar report a year ago. Lexus had the best overall score for the third year in a row in J.D. Power U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study, MY2011 results of which were announced by the company Feb. 12. The scores are based on responses by 41,000 original owners of MY2011 vehicles after three years or ownership. Vehicles with four-cylinder engines accounted for the largest drop in dependability.
