Rugged Mobile Computers for Military and Homeland Security Operations
NextComputing (Nashua, NH) has released the Vigor Evo Plus rugged mobile computers to support high-end software applications in deployed environments. Created for military and homeland security operations, the standalone, transportable workstation/server platform can incorporate up to three built-in HD monitors. The computers feature mil-anodized external chassis and shock-mounted internal chassis, one or two Intel® Xeon® processors, up to 16 GB ECC RAM, internal storage capacity nearing 11 terabytes, and up to six full-length, full-height PCI Express and PCI-X slots. Other features are an integrated 17” HD display, and optional second and third “swing-out” displays for panoramic viewing.
