Partnership to Facilitate Flow of Innovation from Silicon Valley to Auto Industry
The Autotech Council announced Thursday in a release that it is joining the AutoHarvest Foundation as a strategic partner.
Based in San Jose, Calif., the Autotech Council is a group of technology innovators. Its members represent leading suppliers and automakers across the country. AutoHarvest facilitates the only neutral and global online meeting place in the world that allows inventors to present capabilities and technologies while privately connecting with companies to commercialize their products.
By easing the transfer of intellectual property in the areas of transportation and advanced manufacturing, Autotech and AutoHarvest will aid the flow of innovation from Silicon Valley to automotive centers across the U.S.
The council has worked with more than 100 innovation companies to seek corporate partners through presentations at the council’s monthly meetings. With the new partnership, all past and future presenting companies will be offered membership in AutoHarvest. Membership will allow them to display their technology needs and solutions to a global market.
Jayson Pankin, the AutoHarvest President and CEO, will launch the new partnership as the keynote speaker at Autotech’s July 11 meeting. Pankin—recently designated by Intellectual Asset Management magazine as “one of the world’s leading IP strategists”—will address the emerging patterns of collaboration among rivals in advanced manufacturing during his keynote speech.
The new partnership has garnered support from participants in both organizations.
“By being connected to America’s brightest technology companies in the heartland locations of both high-tech and automotive innovation, we will gain even more extraordinary value from these organizations,” Dana Lowell, Director, Advanced Business Development of Faurecia Automotive Seating, said in the release. Faurecia Automotive Seating is a business group of Faurecia, the world’s seventh-largest automotive supplier.
