The Faro Edge ScanArm HD portable measuring system includes a non-contact Faro laser line probe attachment and features metrology technology that accurately scans complex, detailed materials. The probe’s blue laser has a shorter wavelength to enable higher definition data scans, and noise reduction technology enables high-resolution data. A wider scanning stripe increases productivity, while range finding LED lights improve usability. The system offers 280 frames per second, 2000 points per scan line, and a maximum scanning width of 5.9 in (150 mm). SmartArm technology provides stand-alone basic measurement capabilities without requiring a laptop computer and features integrated personal measurement assistant, built-in touchscreen, and onboard operating system and diagnostics. Sensors detect thermal changes and compute the exact position within a 3D space.
