High-Temperature Alloy

Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies provides high-temperature alloy (HTA) metal materials for use in its automotive stamped gaskets product division. Originally developed and used by the aerospace industry, HTA alloys are made from a high nickel-content metal with extreme temperature and fatigue cracking resistance. Alloys are suited for engine downsizing and forced induction and improve the performance of smaller engines running at higher speeds for longer times and generating more heat. Application of HTA materials provides functional benefits including improved formed heights and corrosion resistance, higher strengths, and longer fatigue life over traditional stainless-steel materials. Some HTA materials can become stronger over time and with heat exposure, reducing material thickness and embossment widths. Materials, products, and coatings can be tailored for specific application requirements.
