Lotus Appoints Engineering Director

About the hiring of Of Miguel Fragoso (shown), Group Lotus plc CEO Jean-Marc Gales said: “His background in the automotive industry in delivering vehicle programs will assist in the delivery of our growth plans for the future.”

Lotus has hired the CEO of Millbrook Proving Ground in the U.K., Miguel Fragoso, as Engineering Director. Before his career at Millbrook, he held senior positions in engineering and corporate planning at General Motors operations in the U.K., mainland Europe, and Japan. Fragoso is an engineering graduate from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid and holds a post-graduate in engineering from Glasgow University, where he was a Stevenson Fellow. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Lotus says in a press release that he grew and diversified Millbrook from a proving ground and test site into a complete vehicle engineering development center.
