Visteon First with Wireless Device Charger Compatible with Multiple Standards (Video)
Visteon Corp. claims its in-car wireless device charging system is an industry first in that it complies with both of the main standards: Power Matters Alliance (PMA)/Powermat and Wireless Power Consortium (WPC)/Qi. The technology is featured on the 2015 ATS, and Cadillac will add it to two other models: to the CTS sports sedan this fall, and to the Escalade SUV at the end of 2014. The Visteon technology accommodates different in-vehicle locations, so it can be used across multiple platforms and in different regions.
