Camber to Lead Integration for Lone Star UAS Test Site
Camber Corp. signed an agreement with Texas A&M–Corpus Christi (TAMUCC) to be the lead systems and business integrator for the Lone Star Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center (LSUASC) Test Site. The LSUASC is one of six unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) test sites identified by the FAA. Camber will provide services for TAMUCC, including systems engineering, range planning, and mission execution support as well as business development and flight operations for the test site. The Camber team, along with the TAMUCC, has already established the mission control center, which will status operations, fuse aviation tracks, store mission critical data, and control UAS missions. Camber, along with TAMUCC and several Texas state agencies, are collaborating on practical uses for unmanned technologies in agriculture; oil and gas development, production, and transmission; pipeline and utility line surveys; transportation management; insurance evaluation; livestock and wildlife management and surveillance; coastal and shoreline research; and environmental monitoring.
