Inverted Driveshaft

GKN Land Systems offers the Synergy 5C-10C inverted slip design driveshaft range for construction and mining. The range was developed by linking GKN off-highway technologies from the Mechanics Series U-Joints range with inverted slip and shaft design engineering expertise from Rockford Mechanics Series in the U.S. and Cardan Shaft in Italy. Improvements reduce servicing and maintenance while increasing uptime and productivity. Synergy features include the service-free design achieved through optimization of the spline geometry and spline grease for off-highway loads and through temperature and advanced slip seals. The splined component design increases length compensation, and improved balancing allows for a smoother running shaft and enhanced operator comfort. The overall design reduces the metal content of the driveshaft, making it lighter for easier installation and balanced loads.
