Rugged Handheld

Juniper Systems’ latest rugged handheld display is the Archer 2. Designed to improve productivity and speed, the Archer 2 features an IllumiView display that stays bright under glaring sunlight, enhanced global navigation satellite system and positioning performance, long battery life, and a water- and dust-proof IP68 rating. A large, glove-friendly capacitive touchscreen and numeric keypad improve data input speeds. Archer 2 also offers improved connectivity capabilities; updated photo and video capture; built-in 1-D/2-D barcode scanner; Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cell modem, serial, and USB connectivity features; and a 1.0-GHz processor. The rugged handheld operates in a range from -22 to +140°F (-30 to +60°C) and is suitable for most environments including water, humidity, sand and dust, vibration, high altitude, and shock.
