Antivibration Mounts
Advanced Antivibration Components (New Hyde Park, NY) offers a series of 17 elliptic leaf spring antivibration mounts that are resistant to corrosion and operate in a wide range of temperatures. The design employs two or more high-range tensile stainless steel U-formed leaves, situated at each end, forming an elliptical shape when joined together in the center portion with faceplates. The spaces between the U-formed leaves are filled with a polymer or stainless steel mesh.
The leaves are made of 304 stainless steel and the washers are made of nylon and stainless steel. The damping compound is made of polymer for the X mounts, and stainless steel mesh for the XM mounts. Applications include military, engine suspension, shipboard electronics, radar communication equipment, bomb-lifting gear, pumps, and mobile vehicles.
