Rugged Notebook Computer
GammaTech Computer Corp. (Fremont, CA) offers the D14RM rugged notebook tested using the military 810G specification for protection against drop, shock, spill, and dust. It is protected by a magnesium alloy case. Anti-shock mounting protects the LCD and hard disk drive from damage and data loss. Other features are a spill-resistant keyboard, touchpad, and switches, and input/output port rubber caps to protect against dust.
Security features include TPM 1.2 technology, fingerprint technology, and a smart card reader. The computer is powered by the Intel® Core 2 Duo processor, and is compatible with Windows® 7. It comes with a 14.1" WXGA 1280x800 resolution display, and LED lighted keyboard. It includes four USB ports and a HDMI port. Options include a resistive-type touchscreen, built-in Webcam, and internal GPS.
