Rugged Tablet Computer
The xTablet® T7000 mini tablet computer from MobileDemand (Hiawatha, IA) provides the functionality of a notebook computer, the Windows operating system of a tablet PC, and the portability of a handheld device. The rugged computer withstands harsh environments and is MIL-STD 810F certified for shock. The unit features hot-swappable batteries, 7" display, and 2.5-pound form factor. Other features are an integrated numeric keypad and full QWERTY keyboard, and optional built-in GPS for real-time status and location stamping. Other options include a vehicle cradle, carrying case, and two- or four-point shoulder straps. It measures 8.8 × 5.7 × 1.56" and has an operating temperature range from -4 to 122°F. The system processor is an Intel® Atom Z530P 1.6 GHz, with 512KB L2 cache, and 2 GB of DDR2 RAM.
