Linear Position Sensors
The HSTAR 750 Series hermetically sealed position sensors from Macro Sensors (Pennsauken, NJ) are high-temperature, rugged LVDT sensors for use in military and defense applications such as fuel/oil level monitoring, load leveling of artillery platforms, and controlling flight surfaces of airplanes and rudder positions of aircraft. Built to withstand 400° temperature spikes, the sensors are feedback components for closed-loop servo systems. Standard options include metric threaded cores, smaller diameters, and low-mass cores. They also can be constructed for immersion in pressurized fluids and exposure to radiation. The 3⁄4"-diameter AC-operated sensors are available in ranges of ±0.050" to ±10.0".
