Radar Flight Testing Simulator

Mercury Systems, Inc. (Andover, MA) introduced the first commercially available flight testing simulator for air-to-ground synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems. The ARESSAR product builds on more than 25 years of test and train technology from the Mercury Processing Platform to enable government and commercial organizations to save time and costs by reducing the need for actual flight testing through the simulation of realistic SAR scenarios on the ground.

Elastic Network Generator Software

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (Santa Rosa, CA) introduced a first in its class advancement in network testing with the new Keysight Elastic Network Generator (KENG) software – an agile, composable network test platform based on open vendor-neutral API and designed for continuous integration (CI). The KENG software supports the OTG API, integrates with several network emulation platforms, and drives a range of Keysight network infrastructure test software and hardware products. Samtec, Inc. (New Albany, IN) has enhanced its open-pin-field arrays to simultaneously run analog, digital, and power signals. New reference designs allow Samtec’s proven high-performance connector arrays, such as the SEARAY™, to support analog signals. 170 GHz Power Sensors

Rohde & Schwarz (Munich, Germany) is launching the new R&S NRP170TWG(N) thermal power sensor for precise power level measurements in the D-band. It is the only RF power sensor on the market that offers full traceability to national metrology institutes (NMI) in the frequency range from 110 GHz to 170 GHz, an important prerequisite for commercializing the frequency band. The R&S NRP170TWG(N) hardware is designed to reduce measurement noise and drift, while remaining very accurate and easy to use.

COMSOL Multiphysics 6.2

COMSOL (Burlington, MA) announced the release of COMSOL Multiphysics® version 6.2, adding data-driven surrogate model functionality for efficient standalone simulation apps and multiphysics-based digital twins. It also features high-performance multiphysics solvers for the analysis of electric motors, up to 40 percent faster turbulent CFD simulations, and an order of magnitude faster impulse response calculations for room and cabin acoustics. Additionally, it is now up to 7 times faster to perform boundary element analysis (BEM) for acoustics and electromagnetics when running on clusters.
