Binocular Laser Range Finders
Vectronix (Leesburg, VA) offers the Vector™ family of binocular laser range finders for observation, distance, and angle measurement. The binoculars provide high-resolution optics, an eyesafe laser range finder that measures from 5 m to 25 km, a digital compass that determines magnetic or grid azimuth in degrees, gon, or mils, and a clinometer that measures vertical angles from -45 to +45°.
The binoculars can be used by soldiers with minimal training, and can be operated when wearing eyeglasses or gloves. They weigh 60 ounces and can float if dropped in water. Measured data is displayed in the field of view and, in parallel, can be sent to a computer, data terminal, or GPS receiver either via data cable or via Bluetooth®.
