Hermes high-power, QWI-enabled, 8- and 9-nm QCW laser bars and stacked arrays are available from Intense Ltd. (North Brunswick, NJ). Utilizing Quantum Well Intermixing (QWI) technology, the company offers laser products such as highpower visible and IR diodes, bars and stacked arrays, fiber lasers, and individually addressable arrays. Defense applications include targeting, range-finding, and illumination. The Hermes family of High Power Laser (HPL) diodes is designed for use in a wide range of industrial, medical, defense, and aerospace applications. The Hermes family is available at multiple wavelengths, including 808, 940, 980, and 1,550 nm. Single emitters, conductively cooled packages, and microchannel cooled packages are available as standard. The lasers operate in both continuous wave (CW) and quasi-continuous wave (QCW) modes.
