Tunable Blue Diode Laser

New Focus (Santa Clara, CA), a Newport Corporation brand, has extended its range of Littrow tunable lasers with the TLB-7102-02 Vantage(TM). The direct blue diode laser is tunable from 421 to 423 nm and ideally suited for calcium ion trapping at 422.79 nm. The power and tuning range are optimized at a user specified wavelength with a guaranteed 10 mW at 423 nm. The new Littrow-design Vantage laser has been specifically developed for atomic research labs and applications like BEC, MOT and laser cooling experiments where the wide tuning and narrow linewidth of New Focus’ premium Littman-Metcalf lasers are not always required.
