VMETRO, Houston, TX, offers the SANbric rugged storage system that enables commercial FibreChannel disks to be used for high-speed, streaming data recording applications in harsh environments such as military, aerospace, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance applications. The SANbric provides rugged storage for applications in which space and altitude constraints require an alternative to solid-state media.

The removable storage device provides 1.8 Terabytes of storage capacity in a JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks) configuration. It includes dual 2-Gbps Fibre Channel interfaces, and is sealed for operation to 72,000 feet.
