Data Transfer Systems

Targa Systems Division of L-3 Communications (Ottawa, ON, Canada) offers Serial ATA (SATA) data transfer systems for military and aerospace applications. Two versions of the SATA data transfer systems are available: the Series 3 PC Card provides capacities to 16 GB and transfer rates to 5 MB/sec; and the Series 4 Removable Disk provides capacities to 96 GB and transfer rates to 50 MB/sec. The Series 3 PC Card is designed for airborne platform systems such as flight management, cockpit instrument display, terrain awareness and mapping, radar systems, navigation positioning, and satellite communications. The Series 4 Removable Disk is for applications requiring higher storage capacity and/or greater read/write speeds than PC cards can offer. The removable 2.5" flash disk allows for easy updating of files.
