Squeeze-Handle Actuator

Southco introduces the AC-50 squeeze handle actuator, featuring a squeeze-to-operate actuation and a curved design for mounting on rounded, tubular surfaces. The AC-50’s durable, corrosion-resistant construction was tested to 40,000 cycles and is suited for rugged outdoor environments and interior applications. One-handed squeeze actuation allows easy release of a door mechanism on large off-highway equipment, improving security and ergonomics and preventing falling hazards. When combined with Southco rotary latches and ac cables, the actuators create a complete latching system that provides secure remote latching for interior and exterior applications. Mounting the AC-50 in conjunction with tube construction, the corresponding cable is concealed and easily routed through the application to the connected latch for added safety.
