Noncontact Laser Scanner

Hexagon Metrology’s Leica T-Scan 5 handheld system for laser trackers is said to operate more than 15 times faster than the previous model. The unit is ideal for noncontact laser scanning for CAD-to-part inspections and reverse engineering applications and provides immediate feedback of critical features after design iterations. The system typically is used in applications within the aerospace, automotive, ship-building, and earth-moving industries, and may also be employed for automation and robotic applications. When used with the Leica Absolute Tracker AT901, the Leica T-Scan 5 captures hundreds of millions of accurate points on virtually any surface.
