Full Synthetic Motor Oil Formulated from Natural Gas
Pennzoil Platinum and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum with PurePlus Technology are full synthetic motor oils formulated from natural gas. Shell says it is not aware of any other maker that has produced base oils from natural gas via the Fischer-Tropsch process on a commercial scale, or of any company marketing such gas-to-liquid (GTL) base oils. Pennzoil Platinum full synthetic motor oils with PurePlus Technology are designed to keep pistons cleaner, improve fuel economy, reduce degradation in engine power, provide superior wear protection, and operate and extremely high temperature. PurePlus Technology is employed by Pennzoil motorsports partners across NASCAR, IndyCar, and the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship Series.
