Agilent Technologies (Santa Clara, CA) offers EMPro 2011.11 Electromagnetic Professional software, a 3D modeling and simulation platform that features enhancements to further speed and improve RF design and verification. EMPro is used to create 3D models and analyze electrical performance of packages, connectors, antennas, and other RF components.

A FEM iterative solver speeds simulations that include internal ports. A two-dimensional port solver simplifies FEM simulation port setup, allowing users to determine the number of modes, as well as reference impedance and optimum impedance line placement.
