Absorptive Polarizers

Moxtek (Orem, UT) offers absorptive wire-grid polarizers for the blue, green, and red channels. The polarizers are designed for narrow-band applications and where back reflection is a concern. They are designed to transmit the p-polarization and absorb the s-polarization of incident light, rather than reflecting the unwanted light away from the polarizer. The polarizers are available in diameters up to 8" for use in computer displays, and military applications in the UV, visible, and IR.
