Robot Stereo Vision Kit
Polaris Sensor Technologies (Huntsville, AL) has developed a stereo vision upgrade kit for the TALON IV robot, the basis of which is a flat-panel Polariz3D 3D display integrated into the TALON operator control unit. The upgrade package is made up of three pieces: replacement display, two replacement cameras, and a TALON software upgrade for control of the stereo cameras. The display is a field-upgradeable replacement of the display in the OCU. Stereo vision de-multiplexing is built into the display electronics. The kit includes support for 3D on Mast and Gripper camera positions.
