Triple Output Battery Tester
EA Elektro-Automatik (San Diego, CA) has introduced the EA-BT 20000 Triple Output Battery Tester, the only battery tester instrument with three channels and the highest voltage and current outputs. The new instruments can test up to three battery cells, modules or packs simultaneously with the power capacity of 4 kW/channel, 6 kW/channel or 10 kW/channel. Furthermore, to test higher capacity batteries, the channels can be paralleled to test batteries with either 12 kW, 18 kW or 30 kW. The EA-BT 20000 Triple series consists of eight models with output voltages from 10 V to 920 V and output current/channel of 40 A to 600 A. Unlike other battery testing instruments on the market, one EA-BT 20000 can continuously deliver three channels of 600 A or a single channel supplying 1800 A.

Battery Monitoring System
Sentry-6002NEMA is a powerful battery monitoring system by BatteryDAQ (Hunt Valley, MD) for substations with vented (flooded) or valve regulated lead acid batteries. It has been re-designed based upon field-proven BM6500 (1996) and BM6800 (2007) models to provide effective remote battery management according to the IEEE updated standards. Some of the main features include: Ultra precise IR (Internal Resistance) measurement for each cell detects dry-out and deterioration/capacity loss long before a problem occurs; Discriminate inter-cell and battery to bus connection resistance to identify connection problem without a discharge; Ambient and multi-point pilot battery temperature monitoring; Automatic discharge capture to database to record planned load test and unplanned power outage. No mechanical scanning relays, resulting high reliability; and Industry standard Modbus-RTU and Modbus-TCP communication.
