Electronic Horizon Technology

A new version of Elektrobit's (EB's) Assist Electronic Horizon Solution features new functions that offer more flexibility for implementing predictive driver assistance systems. With the new version, carmakers and suppliers are able to use digital map information across car lines and model configurations without the need for having an active navigation system. According to EB, its electronic horizon is a key element for developing predictive driver assistance systems, providing essential map data for features such as night vision, curve speed warning, and traffic sign detection or range determination for e-cars. EB says it is one of the few automotive suppliers that offers an electronic horizon solution that combines both navigation software and driver assistance systems software, thus offering a seamless experience from one single source.
