Materials Data for Design and Simulation

Granta Design will demonstrate second-generation Granta MI:Materials Gateway integration technology at the SAE 2014 World Congress April 8-10 in Detroit. MI:Materials Gateway provides traceable access to materials data and applications within CAD, CAE, and product lifecycle management (PLM) software and is standard for accessing and applying managed materials data across a range of engineering products including Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, and Pro/Engineer. Version 2.0 improves use and productivity and offers insights into the materials assigned to simulation models through dashboards, reporting tools, and update notifications. The software enables companies to store and use corporate knowledge with reference data on metals, plastics, composites, ceramics, and natural materials integrated with CAD, CAE, and PLM for designers.
