NASA Experiments Fly on Virgin Galactic Spacecraft
Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo successfully flew to suborbital space last month with four NASA-supported technology payloads onboard. NASA’s Flight Opportunities Program purchased flight services, the accommodation, and ride from Virgin Galactic for the payloads. During the flight, the payloads collected valuable data needed to mature the technologies for use on future missions.
