USB Interface Device
Data Device Corp. (Bohemia, NY) has introduced a portable USB synchro/resolver interface device for military position feedback, and control and test systems. The input unit features two independent synchro/resolver-to-digital conversion channels configurable for 2V to 90V inputs, and operate at carrier frequencies in the range of 47 Hz to 10 kHz. High and low bandwidth settings are field-programmable. The data output is provided as a programmable-resolution parallel output. The output unit features two independent digital-to-synchro/resolver conversion channels programmable for 2V to 11.8V of synchro/ resolver output with up to 15 mA of output power. An optional transformer isolation plug-in is available for 90V applications.
The 1 VA onboard reference oscillator is capable of driving the input and output channels with a programmable voltage of 2 to 26VAC, and frequency range from 400 Hz to 10 kHz. The reference oscillator is included on both the input and output units.
